July in the Activity Zone

SNIPPETS NEWLETTER
In this month's issue we focus on two important religious events, the coming of the Pope in July for World Youth Day events in Sydney and the recent appointment of Australia's first Anglican bishop. Following some background we offer a Papal Quiz and a Famous Women of Religion quiz. With Australia celebrating 100 years of scouting, we also have a quiz on Scouting and a Famous Scouts crossword, as well as our usual Reader of the Month feature and other tidbits of information.

100 YEARS OF SCOUTING IN AUSTRALIA
Activities including reminiscence "Being a Scout" and a Scouts Badge quiz further elaborate on the theme begun in Snippets.

THE OLYMPICS ARE COMING
To get things started as the Olympic Games approach we have some black and white flag templates for decorating, coloured flag posters and a Flags of the World visual quiz.
